At times predictable but Splinter is a a fast moving, suspense filled horror movie. Nothing groundbreaking here but if you enjoy horror films about being stuck in middle of nowhere with an outerworld creature torchering it's victims then rent this movie. I have seen many films like this but still enjoyed it. Before you know it, the film credits are rolling and you were entertained. I enjoy the work of Sean Penn, Josh Brolin and Gus Van Sant but this film took it to another level. MILK was better than expected and is a must to be nominated for Best Picture at the 09 Oscars. I really don't want to give too much away but even if you know the story of Harvey Milk, this film brings to life his spirit and is at times heartfelt, exciting, and downwright heartbreaking to see what happened to this man who fought with such passion. I recommend this to those who enjoy a well made movie and who have an open mind.

Did this one catch me off guard! I really enjoyed this backstabing action/thriller. Anytime you see a cop drinking and driving and breaking all kinds of ethics it's something to to savor. One of the reasons Street Kings might not have done well in the movies might have been it's subject matter of dirty cops. While Serpico did deal with that topic this film takes it to another level. This underrated film is voilent at times unrealistic but worth your time if want some action that does not hold back one bit. Forest Whitaker contines to amaze and his accent and look turns him into a typical police chief. I hope you rent this one.

What could have been an interesting film turned out to be an overlong very poorly edited and confusing film with an all star cast not even able to save this mess. I had mild expectations and had to rewind scenes multiple times in order to follow what was happening. Matt Damon who I usually enjoy who devoid of any human emotion. While his character might have been like that it just made him less interesting than R2D2 from Star Wars. Now I know why this film fell by the waistside once it was released. Avoid this film and see something else.

An epic film that finally captures the Zodiac case in a realistic yet captivating manner. With great casting and an even better director in David Fincher there is no reason to make or view another Zodiac film after this 07 release. Just remember that this is about the case and is not an action film about chasing the killer. It's a throwback to a more adult film with alot of talking involved but in no way should that be interpreted as boring. You are brought into the Zodiac case and the time period it happend in and for over 2 1/2 hours you find out way this case has caught the public attention till this day. Unless you lived through that time period and followed the case closely this film will shed new information on a case that is bizzarre yet fasinating on many levels. See this movie and re-live the terror that gripped San Fransico for many years.
