When the Levees Broke, 2006

The mere scope of this documentary is groundbreaking. The idea of it is almost exhausting in effort comparable to the burden of the Up series in it's persistence. This story hurts, because it has only been 2 years for me and looking at how a society, behaves and reacts in the face of such a multifaceted terror. What set me back the worst was from the first act when I found out that it wasn't a category 5 hurricane that breached the levees. The areas from which the levees broke were only hit by a comparable category 1 or 2 hurricane. This is groundbreaking.
