The Twilight Zone, 1959 - 1964

If you like sci-fi for the way it sometimes has the ability to bend your mind in strange directions. If special effects is not on the top list of what sci-fi has to offer but you're more of a plot oriented movie-lover then you can't go on living your life without knowing the bedeared Rod sterling and his fifth dimension. The twilight zone is cult and believe me there is smoke because there is fire. The variety of stories you will meet on your way to the twilight zone is in one concise word, amazing. The worlds created here are nothing less than poetic. Be it for twisted time-travel to meeting aliens with more in mind than what you would have imagined, at times surprising, other times just clever and witty the twists and turn of the scenarios are first of all, lightyears ahead of its time. Yes you will here meet sources to what happened to sci-fi in what followed the 60's and if you're looking for inspiration or originality out of the box thinking you have my word that most of the stories just have it. I'm not saying that every single episode will be to your liking...some you'll like less and that's normal when we're talking about 5 years of work. But for those who like sci-fi for the stories, the suspense and the crafty story telling there is something for all of you. Twilight zone may just be the series that changes your way of viewing the world.
