Didn't like it as much as the American version. Sorry
I love the American version of this, and this would probably be funny if you were British or knew more british slang, but I didn't laugh much at this.

I adored this show. The characterization struck just the right balance between sympathetic and obnoxious. The parody is sometimes muted, but always funny without being completely over the top. The situations poke fun at the dull gray life of yellowed shirts in corporate parks in a way that never lets you forget that they are human beings, which makes it sadly funny sometimes, but is better for it. I highly recommend watching this series before the American series.

I don't know that DVD is the best way to watch this series. The problem is that it's about an extremely negative character. We watched 3 episodes back-to-back, and while it they were very funny, we had to turn it off because it was so hard to put up...

I don't know that DVD is the best way to watch this series. The problem is that it's about an extremely negative character. We watched 3 episodes back-to-back, and while it they were very funny, we had to turn it off because it was so hard to put up with the boss for that length of time. It was almost like working for the guy would be. If you get some sort of TV station that airs this show, by all means, check it out.

The lead actor is absolutely brilliant. I really have to think that the acting is mostly improv...as i can't imagine they were able to pull those scenes off scripted. It's both believable and unbelievable all at the same time. For those of you that have a hard time with the accents (there are subtitles) and not sure if they really like british humor, might be better to stick with the UPN lineup. This series won't appeal to everyone...but for those of us that it does it appeal...it's an absolute masterpiece.
