Summary of The Corner
One year following one family from their ghetto apartment to their interaction with a community plagued with narcotics trade and violence is at the heart of this HBO miniseries. Sean Nelson (FRESH) stars as a teenage boy who struggles to fight off street life pressures. His parents (played by Khandi Alexander and T.K. Carter) are of little help, as they work hard to bring a steady income and a sense of normalcy, but coninually fail. This brutal street portrayal won numerous Emmys including Outstanding Miniseries and Outstanding Direction for Charles S. Dutton.
