Profile of Scrubs

The mood of Scrubs is humorous, witty, and offbeat. The plot centers around doctors and patients, workplace situations, and power relations. It features verbal byplay. Scrubs is a comedy and drama TV show. Stylistically, it is surreal, includes a voice over, and is a sitcom. It takes place, at least partly, in a hospital. Scrubs is set in the USA. It happens in contemporary times. The musical score is pop and rock. Scrubs is known for being a hit series, an Emmy winner, and critically acclaimed.

Summary of Scrubs

Taking a different approach to both the sitcom and the medical television genres, Scrubs was a critical success that became a cult hit. The show centers around J.D. (Zach Braff), a wacky medical intern at Sacred Heart Hospital, and his friends and colleagues: his confident best friend Turk, neurotic fellow intern Elliot, tough nurse Carla, and their supervisor, the cruel Dr. Cox. Unlike many sitcoms, Scrubs employs a structure of continuing plotlines and developing characters, like many dramas will. It also combines verbal wit, slapstick humor, and fantasy sequences in order to garner laughs--a strange but effective combination that suggests a skewed version of reality.

I have been waiting for this DVD "FOREVER"!!!!!!!! If you love smart and silly comedies this one is for you. Some scenes are very zany and have alot of heart, you will laugh at Zach Braff's antics and when you hear his thoughts you will laugh out...
This show is fantastic. It blends in a little of ER, House, and even a little Titus flavoring here and there. No laugh track, but that is a good thing. Definitely a show that keeps me coming back for more.
