Summary of Samurai Champloo
Shinichiro Watanabe, director of the popular and acclaimed COWBOY BEBOP, returns with SAMURAI CHAMPLOO. As with his previous accomplishment, Watanabe blends different genres and attitudes into a cohesive whole. SAMURAI CHAMPLOO mixes a maturity rarely found in anime with a historical Japanese setting and an anachronistic hip-hop soundtrack and atmosphere. Fuu is a flaky waitress at a teahouse where a sword fight breaks out between Mugen, a wild and animalistic warrior, and Jin, a mannered and composed Ronin. In exchange for saving them from execution, Fuu demands they accompany her on a journey to find "a samurai who smells of sunflowers."
