Nice concept, but the acting is so stiff as to be nearly unwatchable at times. The whole show comes off as a sort of commercial advertisement for technology that doesnt exist.

As expected, Tim Roth steals the show as Cal Lightman, a human lie detector. Roth has this intense, intent stare that really sells the impression he sees everything. Lie to Me falters a bit with its formulaic whodunit plotlines, but the writing is punchy and the characters are dimensional enough to satisfy.
