Summary of Kidô senkan Nadeshiko

The Earth is being attack by machines from Jupiter called Jovian Lizards, the Earth's last hope may be the Nadesico, a highly advanced spaceship created by a huge corporation. One of the crew-members, Atiko Tenkawa, a chef/pilot turns up to discover his childhood friend Yurika Misumara is the captain. Yurika has a crush on Akito, but other crew-members love him too, presenting Yurika with competition. Akito, however, isn't interested in any of the girls, due to the fact that he's busy cooking and trying to cope with a past trauma. Soon the crew discovers that the Lizards aren't what they appear and may have more enemies than they bargained for.
