Based on a strange premise, British TV show JONATHAN CREEK has nevertheless found an audience among fans of similarly themed crime dramas such as CRACKER and INSPECTOR MORSE. The story begins when journalist Madeline Magellan (Caroline Quentin) is snooping around and meets Jonathan Creek (Alan Davies). Creek invents magic tricks for a prominent magician, and Magellan uses his ingenuity to help her crack a particularly puzzling case she is working on.
