Emotional, I cried sevral times watching this. Extremely Well developed, compassionate characters. The enemies are 'cried' for. Just the right amount of childish humor. Long running series, with a finale series: Inuyasha the Final Act. Which is in the same spirit as the original, but feels rushed. I disagree with the semi-serious label. This show is serious, with the exception of a few characters, like miroku, which has very subtle innuendo. And the childish humor. Spiritual healers and demagogues are excellently done. Unselfish, unrealistic, forgiving nearly every character in the show, including the adversaries. No profanity, although a few episodes have a subtle hint of ecci.

A Good Story
Although I always liked the series, which follows the comic books that it's based on fairly accurately, I disliked it on principle because they stopped it before any conclusion was reached. Now, however, there appears to be a concluding season, which means that this series is back on my favorites list. It's humorous with has a fresh plot about humans and demons and what it means to struggle with love, life, and finding your place in the world. Not to mention it stresses how important it is to have people who care about you and stand by your side.
