Summary of Hope and Faith
Kelly Ripa and Faith Ford star in this hilarious sitcom that mines not only comedy gold, but also its fair share of sweetness from the odd-couple pairing of two sisters who love each other despite their obvious differences. At the start of the series, Ford’s Hope Shanowski is a happy homemaker peacefully raising three kids along with her dashing her husband (Ted McGinley, MARRIED WITH CHILDREN) in the suburbs of Ohio. That all changes upon the arrival of her Hollywood sister (in a somewhat confusing turn of events, Ripa’s character goes by the very familiar-sounding name of Faith Fairchild). A soap-opera star freshly killed off of her hit show, Faith will be staying in the Shanowski home for a while--and she’s bringing her diva-like behavior with her! The two affably comic female stars of this winning series share an infectious chemistry.
