Summary of Home Movies
Cancelled by the UPN after only five episodes but resuscitated by the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim for an additional four-year run, the animated television series HOME MOVIES earned its loyal cult following with a satiric sense of humor reminiscent of THE SIMPSONS and a Squigglevision style of animation pioneered by DR. KATZ, PROFESSIONAL THERAPIST. Created by Loren Bouchard and Brendon Small, the series followed the trials and tribulations of precocious 8-year-old Brendon (named for and voiced by its co-creator) as he navigated through the daily traumas of childhood with the help of his neurotic single mother, drunken soccer coach, and a home video camera which he used to record his innermost dreams and aspirations.
