Summary of Growing Pains
When Maggie Seaver takes a job as a journalist for the Long Island Herald, her husband, Dr. Jason Seaver, moves his psychiatric business home to keep an eye on their three problematic children: rebellious Mike (the role turned actor Kirck Cameron into a teen heartthrob), social misfit Carol, and the devious little Ben. The popular sitcom debuted in 1985 and followed the comic complications of the Seaver family as the children grew up and Jason and Maggie's careers took various twists and turns.
