One of the most entertaining TV series
This is an absolutely wonderful series. Well written, witty, and just plain entertaining. The show creates a very well thought out, compelling world that I really enjoyed learning about as the season played out. I can’t say enough good things...

One of the most entertaining TV series
This is an absolutely wonderful series. Well written, witty, and just plain entertaining. The show creates a very well thought out, compelling world that I really enjoyed learning about as the season played out. I can’t say enough good things about this show. I only wish the showed hadn't been canceled after only one season - I am at a loss for why Fox decided to cancel it. I truly hope that this series is resurrected – this show has a cult-like following, and I’m sure many people would love to see it return to TV or the big screen.

Good Move By Fox
It is no mystery why this show was cancelled: it was far too witty, poignant, and insightful for Fox viewers and, indeed, for Fox executives, who wisely decided to scramble the episodes out of their intended order and, in a brilliant move designed to forever repel TV audiences from viewing such an intelligently written show, air the intended pilot episode as -- wait for it -- the season finale. Thus was a whole generation of TV viewers spared the trouble of having to follow well crafted plotlines and fall in love with well developed characters.

I don't even like Star Trek and I can tell that this is just "wagon train in space". Bad acting, contrived plots and really boring writing. No wonder it was canceled.

I'm confused on how so much television these days is junk, and NBC scrambling to find anything to put on television that works.. and yet something this unique and good doesn't make it. The characters are all interesting and there are some excellent stories to keep you interested. The special effects aren't bad either - and as someone else said, the sets are excellent. I recommend it.

A series really has to get my attention within the first couple of episodes, and this one simply failed to do that. It has an odd introduction to the first episode, which caused me to think that the DVD was not starting at the beginning, it simply begins without any intro or credits, as if to draw you into the middle of the story. To be fair I only watched the first disk, but I found it boring and moved onto something different.
