I found it incredibly boring. Vincent is the pretty face of the series, and there's the funny manager. Well. That just aint enough to make a quality series. I've only watched season one, with some action peeping in at the last episode. The caracters are simple and it's like they talk air whenever they open their mouth, as ordinary newly rich loosers.
I bought it in good belief and suffered though it.
But hey, if you're just after some braindead entertainment, looking like a parody of some lousy MTV show - then this might be for you.

Sex and the city for men

Entourage is about 4 guys in Hollywood and how every character built with different would I dare to say universal personas, deals with Love, sex, money, social circumstances and work.
It's the kind of movie show you watch wondering which one of the guys is the most like you...evidently in a way giving you clues on who you are.
First there's Vince, the star of the show, some would say a modern day Fonzy, He's an Hollywood star shining on the silver screen, having all the girls, the money and plenty. He's very charming and it's very difficult to say no to that kind of lad. He is the part, he has the Mojo, he smiles with a smile so convincing the world around him can only melt and smile back at him. If you're honest enough you know you know or knew a Vince somewhere in your life.
Then Heeeeeere comes Johnny Drama and my how well his name fits him. He's not really mister lucky, he's just about mister half-lucky. If vince is Broadway, Johnny is Off-broadway, charming in an offbeat way, no touching. A very expressive character, unavoidable in his presence and nearly begging for empathy. He had his time of glory, he's a kind of Hasbeen Diva with a melting away in the past kind of glory. When he's not in the mood or when on his road he meets a misshap he is the shiny romantic feeling-feeling Sir Drama. Love him or else he may just waste half of his life-effort in doing everything to convince you he's worthwhile.
Meet E. I know it's just a syllable. In this show it's a name. A discreet guy, you wouldn't notice him at a party but if you meet him you may have an interesting chat and just fall in love for his structured way of being normal. E fits. He's not yet there, still has a lot to learn and a life to accomplish. You know who E is, he's the guy that drives you home after a party because he's not drunk, E's stable and Elegant and in this show he will surprise you more than once. Like in, I never thought E would...(fill the blanks)
Turtle...you may have noticed already that there is a nice cosy simplicity in this show and if it had been a animal characterisation anime Turtle would have been, you guess it, a Turtle. Slow, check. Stoned, check. At home everywhere, check. Easy going cosy why bother, check. I like Turtle, he's without pretention, he is what he is and even though he has some loser traits he accepts himself. Always looking for a job and not so sure of his own meaning of the I in life he's not plain. Turtle would be a person that feels like a city center with small streets and not too much crowd on a sunday afternoon. Chill...
Ari. Ari! Ari! Ari! Yes i'm talking about that son of a bitch of an agent you should hate by all logic but just can't resist to fall passionately in love with. Ari curses, has a mouth you could wash with tons of soap he would still tell you to fuck off and bring him this and let him have his way with your wife. When he wants something you can put an entire army of bitching old movie producers in front of him he will find a way, be it to convince them, be it to trick them, be it to twist their whole world up side down, he will find a way to get it. He's Nike's Just do it (fuckface) on red bull. He's not exactly the boss of your dreams, except if you dream to be bitchslapped by a whisk. More than once watching the show, you would have found me cheering for Ari. Don't forget though, the guy's a bitch and I can imagine him having been raised by a very strict father.
