If I could rate this a must see ten times I would!
One of my most favorite things in the world. It's got everything, comedy, suspense, an attractive time traveling spaceman, love... just ah. Lovegasm.

Great plots, but a bit too scattered for my taste.
I haven't watched all of it, but from what I've seen, the show is very exciting and very memorable. It departs from the science-fiction cliché quite nicely. In season 1, I noticed that the plots tended to be a bit unrelated to each other, but I figured that the show was just getting (re)started, and it would even out. Trouble is, it didn't. I suppose that continuity is a necessary sacrifice, considering the premise of the show (which is a bit ridiculous even for diehard sci-fi fans): a guy who travels through space and time on a whim, going wherever he wants and seeing whatever he wants, with a face and a companion that change every season or so. It's great for leisurely watching, it'll give you a fantastic 45 minutes, but if you're looking for a long-term show to watch, I would advise looking for something a bit more conventional. Maybe it's just my personal taste.

Doctor Who
As a younger viewer that did not see the original first hand that hid behind the sofa from the Daleks and the monsters, but I am a pretty die hard fan right now. I can say that I have gone back and looked up the old series to watch it and I must say that Russell T. Davies brought back the series tremendously. From getting excited to see Tom Baker, who is my favorite of the other Doctors, to see Christopher turn into the eccentric and much loved David. David really takes hold of this character and takes you on a journey that has you gripping your seat. I'm getting used to Matt Smith and he's much fun to watch, but my favorite will always go out to the first Doctor I watched, which is David Tennant. What this show lacks in extremely good high quality special effects, which aren't too bad, it makes up in fun loving humor and great adventures. Way to go, Doctor Who rebirth, or regeneration, I should say. I love Doctor Who and everything in it. Can I emphasize enough how much I loved David Tennant in the series. I don't think ANYONE can match up with the performance that he and Russell T. Davies put on.

THE DOCTOR.....DR. WHO: I had a dream that I saw the very first screening of the very first episode of Doctor Who as a very young child and have never forgotten it. Growing up in the 60s & 70s my friends and I witnessed every regeneration for the first time, followed by constant repeats which were standard after-school fodder for many years. Surprisingly, with each regeneration The Doctor was different!! And as the years progressed the series did too!! I don't need to attend sci-fi seminars to learn how to appreciate a television show, Doctor Who is a lifelong icon and watching it has always made me feel good. Watching the newest series makes me feel good too. It's different to when I was 10, but then so am I. I give this TV SiFi Series the highest rating of 5*****STARS. It is one of my favorites.

This a well done reincarnation (I say reincarnation instead of continuation, because I feel it can stand alone from it's preceding seasons better than they could) of the ancient, and I mean ancient, series in the early 60's. Some of the stories in this season were a little weird, but they quickly got better and little more edgy. If you have seen enough of the same Star Trek re-runs this could be a good alternative for you. It certainly was for me.

In the span of two weeks I managed to watch the first three seasons and am now getting the fourth and fifth. It's a fantastic show! I recommend it to almost anyone.

THANK YOU JESUS!, so after Buffy, giving up on 24, being disappointed with Heroes, I had no TV show to obsess over, then came along the Doc. Friend got me thinking about the new series because of Billie Piper (who is currently in Secret Diary of a Call Girl) and with this season available to watch instantly, decided to give it a shot. From the first episode on I was hooked. The stories are imaginative and fun, but not hokey. The characters are well rounded, captivating, and most importantly, British! Favorite episodes are Rose, Aliens in London, and The Parting of the ways.
