Past S3 or 4 this show started going downhill and it's going fast. Now they are using cheap tricks i.e. the current season's last episode cliff hanger to get people to tune in. The character and plot holes seem to be getting bigger and it's not as tight as it once was. Hopefully, since the writers know when the series will end they will actually write something decent since they won't need to leave room for another trip through the grinder

The serie is okey I guess, acting is quite good, so are the settings... but the story line in both the first and second season is extremely predictable.

Not really my cup of tea.
The serie is okey I guess, acting is quite good, so are the settings... but the story line in both the first and second season is extremely predictable.
I also don't get why Dexter is also winning about his lack of contact with his emotion and his extreme emptiness. If you want to make a serie on a sociopath, make the main-character a sociopath, not some one who has more second thoughts than a pregnant women ...

i great tv show about a great series of books its for all those people who love an anti hero and people who are fed up with the same clean cut cop show being recycled over and over again with a great cast chilling music intertwined through the show...

This show does not disappoint. Dynamic, clever, inventive, mysterious, and a small does of creepy just to get the blood flowing. Michael C. Hall is brilliant. This is a major step up from the character he played on 6 feet under.

I love how you for once can watch a serie from the murderers perspective, other common movies/series you always follow the good guys, how they bust the bad guys. But why don't we ever get to know the bad guys as much? Why are they doing what they´re doing? What're their reasons? Dexter sure is a murderer, but since you really get to know him in this serie, he´s suddenly not the bad guy. I just simply love it, and the plot is awesome! See it, you won't get disappointed.

I live in the UK and so I have to watch this online to keep anywhere near up to date with the US but seriously, it is my favourite thing to watch. Period. Love it!

Ah, Dexter. I never get tired of watching this amazing series. In the first season we are introduced to Dexter, a serial killer that only kills bad guys. The plot captivating plot involves another serial killer loose in Miami taking an interest in Dexter. But the real reason to watch this show is not for the story, or even the deliciously gory kill scenes, but to see the well developed characters interact with each other. And no character is more fascinating than Dexter himself, who you may find yourself sympathizing with one moment and disgusted by the next. A must see.

This series, based on a novel, takes a fresh approach to the construction of a serial killer. Dexter's victims are all killers themselves, but he does not kill them for the purpose of good. He, like all serial killers, has a need to kill, and he chooses to kill evil people only because its better than the alternative. The first season is the best so far, but with John Lithgow joining the cast, Season 4 should be a real treat.

This show wants to be "American Psycho: The Series," but Michael C. Hall just can't pull off "inhuman sociopath" as well as Christian Bale. Hall's human feeling keeps showing through. Also, the presence of a strong black male (Erik King) who is constantly picking Dexter apart and shoving him up against lockers only serves to remind me of "Six Feet Under." All in all, this is a pretty good first season and I'll be interested in seeing where it goes next season.
