It had weak plot and the focus of the story was the development of the different characters, George had to deal with her "I don't give a shit" attitude, her family had to deal with her death, Rube has a complicated past which is explored bit-by-bit...

Weak plot, but I still liked it
It had weak plot and the focus of the story was the development of the different characters, George had to deal with her "I don't give a shit" attitude, her family had to deal with her death, Rube has a complicated past which is explored bit-by-bit and I like stuff that explore the human character in that way.

SPOILER ALERT....Ellen Muth is the star of this series and she is fantastic. I loved this series. The premise is a little grim, (GRIM REAPERS). But there is a lot of humor here and it is very very entertaining. Each episode you find yourself wondering how the next victim is going to get it. Ellen is very attractive in her sulkiness and being P.O.ed at now being dead and having to do grim reaper work. This series was canceled way to early. I gave it 5*****STARS

Ask anyone I know, but this series just doesn't do it for me. I've seen many good and bad tv shows, and frankly people say, I'm too nice when I rate things, but this was just, not that great.
There was a decent premise to the show, but I just could not like the main character, as her acting and especially her voice, make a dull blade for the wit she cuts into to people with. The lack of a real subplot and the fact that it feels like the show moved at 1 mph adds on to reasons why I just didn't like it.
They set rules for the supernatural in the show and then outright bent and broke them whereever they felt like it. I'm glad I saw it, because now I really know what a good show with tragic flaws looks like.

Toilet Seat Girl
Is it a drama? A comedy with tragic elements? A tragedy with comic elements? Who cares? What I do know and care about is that this program is something special. It will make you laugh in one scene and then turn right around and break your heart in the next. The main character is George (short for Georgia), and her nickname in the series, Toilet Seat Girl, says it all. Georgia was killed by a loose toilet seat from a space station that has come out of orbit. Comic? Yes. Tragic? Of course. Now George is a grim reaper, and the afterlife can indeed be grim, but it can also be heartwarming. My main complaint about the series is how quickly the writers wrote Betty, a spunky reaper who died in the Roaring Twenties, out of it.

I mean just wow....i remember when this show first came about looked interesting but i didnt watch it because most stuff on tv is lets face it guys crap....this is a true gem...and normally the only way for something to be a true gem is it cant go on forever...and they never seem to do well with the majority of viewers so its lucky if it gets a second season....many T.V shows have went this way
Like Lost(number of episodes cut down)
Jericho(only one more season to wrap everything up)
....and the shows based off of cheap laughs seem to take off
