Profile of Dead Like Me

The mood of Dead Like Me is cynical, clever, and offbeat. The plot centers around the afterlife, supernatural occurences, and bosses and employees. It features dark humor. Dead Like Me is a drama, fantasy, and comedy TV show. It takes place, at least partly, in a diner, in an office, and in the suburbs. The TV show is known for being a hit series and critically acclaimed. Note that Dead Like Me includes mild violent content.

Summary of Dead Like Me

This made-for-Showtime series introduces a misanthropic female college dropout, Georgia "George" Lass (Ellen Muth), whose already mundane life becomes even more annoying when she dies. Instead of putting her out of her misery, Rube (Mandy Patinkin) forces George to perform the duties of a grim reaper while maintaining an otherwise ordinary existence. Unfortunately, this means working at the same temp agency that employed her before her accident. Created by Bryan Miller, Dead Like Me features standout supporting turns from Patinkon, Callum Blue, Jasmine Guy, and Rebecca Gayheart.

Weak plot, but I still liked it

It had weak plot and the focus of the story was the development of the different characters, George had to deal with her "I don't give a shit" attitude, her family had to deal with her death, Rube has a complicated past which is explored bit-by-bit... Read and rate it

SPOILER ALERT....Ellen Muth is the star of this series and she is fantastic. I loved this series. The premise is a little grim, (GRIM REAPERS). But there is a lot of humor here and it is very very entertaining. Each episode you find yourself... Read and rate it
