This series was great! It had action as well as some drama, and like most 20 somethings I am a huge fan of Ron Livingston. It was great to see him in a different role. Which he portrayed to a T.

Obviously this must be very good, because everyone loves it. But somehow, I didn't. I had trouble telling most of the characters apart; not only do they look and sound alike, there's not a lot of defining characterisitics to lend them individuality....

Obviously this must be very good, because everyone loves it. But somehow, I didn't. I had trouble telling most of the characters apart; not only do they look and sound alike, there's not a lot of defining characterisitics to lend them individuality. Hence, when the battle scenes (which are amazingly filmed) happen--usually for reasons I don't understand--I have no idea who is who, where they are, or why anything is happening. There are long, slow, quiet stretches where interprersonal drama is playing out that I just don;t understand, nor care about. But obviously I must be missing something; obviously I simply did not get something, because everyone in the world loves this thing. But hey: the battle sequences are awesome.

I have seen the entire Band of Brothers series twice. Once was rented and the other was after I bought it. I cannot recommend this series enough. Even my mother and sister who are hardly war movie fans adore Band of Brothers. Don't think that if...

I have seen the entire Band of Brothers series twice. Once was rented and the other was after I bought it. I cannot recommend this series enough. Even my mother and sister who are hardly war movie fans adore Band of Brothers. Don't think that if you're into war movies that this will disappoint. It won't.
The film feels so real and is accurate to real life. My grandfather (medic) would tell me stories and sure enough, they happened in the film.
You must see the episode where they are in the forest for the Battle of the Bulge. Splintering trees is a concept which creates fear even today.
Watch it, you can't go wrong.

The problem with this mini-series, is that it makes you wish you could be in that war. The most horrifying war man-kind as ever seen, but it makes you feel nostalgic about it - about the brotherhood, the bonding and the friendship.
