Alice of the NOW!
This miniseries was amazing!!! I absolutely fell in love with it! I have already read all of the original stories of Alice in Wonderland but this movie had such unexpectedly refreshing twists and turns. It takes place roughly 150 years after the original Alice has left and a new Alice return in her place. Her name, Alice, seeming to only be a mere coincidence since it is her spirit and not her name that help save the now crumbling Wonderland from the Queen of Hearts instant gratification dictatorship. I was completely taken in when the beginning seemed that of an average romance until the supposed love interest is kidnapped! Or so it seems. Anyone who watches this will fall in love with the humor, romance, adventure, and sheer wit Alice must posses in order to stay alive. I should know, my seven year old sister loved it as did my two brothers, one 18 and the other 15, and I, 20, absolutely adored it. I rented it from a blockbuster and needless to say, they will not be getting it back. ;}

A Different Alice
Although this is definitely a different take on the story "Alice in Wonderland", I found it to be quite interesting. The storyline kept me on my toes, wondering how they would portray each character, and how they would fit into the storyline. I was not disappointed by the ending that, while definitely not the Disney's Alice, was refreshing. Probably the most notable change in comparing this to the Disney version of "Alice in Wonderland", however, is Alice herself, who is not a helpless little girl, but an adult who takes action when she gets into a bind.
