Summary of The Last Wild Race
The Last Wild Race is a multi-award-winning film that follows fifty-six adventurers from across the globe, as they converge on Chilean Patagonia for the last wild race on the planet. The Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race is a true expedition, with fourteen teams of four racing through lands previously unseen by the human eye, guided only by mind and spirit, driven only by physical stamina and experience.
Kept secret until the night before the start, the route covers an unforgiving wilderness of fierce winds, icy rivers and impenetrable forests. Racers receive minimal assistance as they traverse over 600 kilometers through the pristine southern Patagonia, trekking, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking and navigating the backcountry of southern Chile, often covering hundreds of kilometers without seeing a soul.
More important than the distance they cover is the adventure and exploration of one of the most untouched and isolated places in the world. Be inspired by the magical landscapes in a world most people never see, while fearless adventurers take you to new heights, exploring nature's obstacles and combating the harsh weather in an attempt to simply finish the course. The Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race is indeed The Last Wild Race on the planet.
