Wings of Desire, 1987

I want to reach out and caress every camera shot, wrap it in a blanket and carry it around in my backpack and let it carry me through life. I want to believe again that I care about living. Do you believe that an angel would give up the divine to experience love? This is a masterpiece. It really is. It moved me more than most other movies have. It's not haunting or memorable for something like awesome light saber fights or battle scenes or gory scenes of mutilation. It's human and the superhuman emotions and desires. We are connected. Make that connection. Feel your soul and body and mind embraced with emotion made flesh.
