Summary of Le Voyou
This crime-caper from director Claude LeLouch (A MAN AND A WOMAN) was shot in 1970, and follows the fortunes of newly escaped convict Simon Duroc (Jean-Louis Trintignant). Eager to reclaim the sizeable fortune that he stole and stashed away before his capture, Simon executes a cunning plan that makes it look as though he has fled the US to take refuge on Canadian soil. Swiftly indulging in a passionate liaison with his ex-wife after securing his fortune, Simon's plan looks to have been executed to perfection. But the police aren't quite as stupid as he believes them to be, leading to a tense, action-packed conclusion to this absorbing thriller.
