This crime-caper from director Claude LeLouch (A MAN AND A WOMAN) was shot in 1970, and follows the fortunes of newly escaped convict Simon Duroc (Jean-Louis Trintignant). Eager to reclaim the sizeable fortune that he stole and stashed away before his capture, Simon executes a cunning plan that makes it look as though he has fled the US to take refuge on Canadian soil. But the police aren't quite as stupid as he believes them to be, leading to a tense, action-packed conclusion to this absorbing thriller.
