I thought this movie was really well filmed and extremely intriguing. The plot built upon itself and held my attention the entire time. I have heard that this movie is the first in a trilogy and I am eagerly awaiting the sequel.

I was truly amazed by this movie. It is one of the few movies that has stuck with me AFTER I finished watching it. Had Entertainment Weekly not given away a crucial plot point, I would have been even more stunned by the movie. The final moments of this movie makes some of the slow moments early on well worth the time. I agree completely that this movie has a strong Hitchcock feeling to it. If you haven't seen this movie spent the time it takes to get into the movie and you will be pleased with your investment. It IS slow at the start, but the payoff is big. If you are a comic book fan you MUST see this movie, you will love it. If not, don't worry it isn't the kind of movie with men in tights or plastic body molds. Really, this is the best movie I have seen in some time.

M. Night Shyamalan wedged this hum-drum movie between his brilliant films The Sixth Sense and Signs. (Next movie was the dreadful The Village.)
I'm having a hard time figuring out why I don't like this movie. At first I was going to mention that the pacing was slow, but all of his movies are somewhat slow. I guess I just didn't like the plot twist. It seemed unnecessary and uninteresting.

A rather underestimated film by M. Night Shyamalan, Unbreakable asks what would happen is Superheroes were real. And not, like, real guys with capes and weird fake names, but real people who are confused and scared by their powers. And they're not fighting muggers in side alleys, but disgusting people who do disgusting things.
Bruce Willis plays the man who one day realizes he's never really been sick or hurt; that he is, essentially, unbreakable. His son, who also realizes this, thinks he should be a superhero. Willis' character agonizes over whether to use his power to actually 'fight crime'.
This is not an action movie, and it's barely a suspense or thriller movie. It's almost a gritty drama, filmed like a thriller, with a few well-placed tense moments. Really, it is a pretty unique film, with a stand-alone tone and structure. It is beautifully shot, paced and scored. You will feel really weird while watching this movie.
I hate the ending.

Cool fresh superhero movie
David Dunn finds out he has superpowers after a horrific train accident leaves him unharmed. He has the power to be 'unbreakable'. He is then contacted by Elijah Price, a comic book dealer who is as weak as a twig - suffering from a genetic condition that makes his bones extremely weak. The story unfolds with David trying to fix his broken marriage and get close to his estranged son. The movie is interesting to watch with unique camera angles and smooth sophistication. A very cool film which I really enjoyed watching - probably the best I have seen in a while.
