U-571, 2000

As an Englishman I'm glad that Hollywood made it clear that the movie was dramatic, rather than a dramatic telling of historically accurate events. The director's intent of drawing you in really worked because of the up-close-and-personal camera angles that gave you a sense of claustrophobia while watching. Strong acting performances by both the lead actors and supporting cast made this movie more believable than many of the Hollywood blockbusters. Rent this movie--I don't think you will be disappointed.
