Amazing :)
I really enjoyed this movie. It has to be the best of the twilight saga. I can't wait till the 4th movie comes out. Must see :)

Was This Seriously Made in 2010?
Bella Swan is eighteen. She has a nightmare and tells her undead literally and totally dead emotionally boyfriend that she is terrified because she is getting so old. Edward than decides that to save her from his blood hungry siblings who go into a feeding frenzy when she gets a paper cut* he must abandon her in a forest at night. Bella goes into a comatose state for months without her boyfriend, there is literally no meaning in her life without her boyfriend of what- nine months? The only way she can sooth her pain is by putting herself into horribly life threatening situations. The ending has both romantic leads painting suicide in a romantic light.
*This is hardly a big issue but this is a massive plot hole. The Cullens go to school. Are we to believe that in the 80+ years they've interacted with humans in "normal" settings they have never had a classmate get a paper cut in the same room as them? Or fall down and skin their knee? Or hell, pick a scab out of sheer boredom? Yeah, hi paper thin plot device! You sure are making yourself at home in this franchise, aren't you?
Bottom Line: If you have a daughter and you care at all about the way she views herself and boys in this world so obsessed over the superficial- you don't have to bar her from seeing it. But make sure you talk to her at least about what she should expect and deserve to be treated by people.

The third movie in this tetralogy concentrates heavily on the relationship between Edward, Bella and Jacob. I found this section of the plot to be really annoying, just like the all three characters, but let me move on with something interesting. Do you remember Victoria? The red-headed vampire that wants to kill Bella because her mate, James, was killed in the first movie. Well, she has returned (different actress) and this time she has created new born vampire army to take out the Cullen clan along with Bella. Does it work? I am not going to spoil it for you because I am sure you have read the series, but the vampire/werewolf battle against the new born vampires was the best part of the movie.

OH the Saga
I love everything vampire related, especially when it involves Robert Pattinson. He is gorgeous, and his character in this movie is a romantic gentleman, even if he is a vampire. That basically sums up all that was good about The Twilight Saga : Eclipse. The other Twilight movies were enchanting and addictive, but the spark was gone from this one. It felt like it was dragging on and on, and even the actor/characters were bored. Most of the film they sounded like they were whining (granted they do have what to whine about). Obviously the movie will never be as good as the book, but I don’t think I am the only one to say that I expected more, but that might be the problem- the first two were so good that we all assumed this too would rank up there. At this point, I really hope the saga does not continue, especially if the rest of the movies are anything like this one.

Lost its charm…
As a fan, I waited for the third movie in the saga. It wasn’t bad or anything, but the first two were definitely better and it felt a bit as if they lost their way. I’m a bit disappointed, but it’s still twilight.

Eclipse improves over the first two installments by keeping its story in check without seeming to juggle around the love triangle between the wolf, the vamp, and the pale-skinned stick figure. The mush of the first couple of films is still there unfortunately for those viewers whod prefer it was left out but luckily its less lovey-dovey than the others. While the confusing decision to pick between a dog and a dead guy continues, the action starts to build up(sadly this takes forever to happen and I grew tedious).Once the ballgame has begins, however,it underwhelms but not to worry I still had fun watching.
Next up I have to discuss the acting which as everyone knows has gotten quite the criticism over the the course of the Twilight saga. The main trio still seem to imagine themselves in a soap opera though they are a step up from New Moon which was cringe-inducing.The decision to cast Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel was quite a good call from the casting directors though since these two were quite pleasant to observe.Once again the rest of the cast felt somewhat underused which begs the question of why they would cast a big name like Fanning to play such a small role. For a series with such bad performances,I was surprised to find I didnt completely hate the work done this time around.
Last lets talk about David Slade and just how beautifully shot this movie turned out and just how much better written it was.The cinematography was stunning and impressed me throughout and the score went so well with each scene. The directing didnt seem as rushed as the others felt and the movie just seemed to take its time telling the story(even if the run time was over the top again). The dialogue was well enough and as stated didnt come off as too mushy.Though the writing was still flawed to say the least,I still pick it over the previous screenplays.Overall Eclipse is sure to be a favorite for the fans and at the very least endurable for those being dragged in to see it.
