It delivers a few creepy stories, and is just tongue-in-cheek enough to avoid taking itself too seriously, without sacrificing its primary function as a horror film. Trick 'r Treat captures the essence of what Halloween is all about -- finding fun in darkness.

Trick is a fresh release from the horror movies being made this day in time. Though not original in direction and theme, the film does deliver some unique takes on various lore - like the werewolf transformation scene - and does not disappoint...

Trick is a fresh release from the horror movies being made this day in time. Though not original in direction and theme, the film does deliver some unique takes on various lore - like the werewolf transformation scene - and does not disappoint anyone who might be a fan of this genre. Certainly not for children even though it's filled with them. The way that each story interweaves together isn't flawless, but it's still tasteful. Filled with "A-ha!"s and "what the-"s, you will be kept from beginning to end. If your mind tends to wonder when things tend to get complex on story-switching then pass this one. For others who love to engulf themselves in more than one story at a time that paints a larger picture then surely rent this one.

Alot of hardcore horror fans were waiting for this direct to dvd movie that should have gotten a limited release in the theaters. I'm a sucker for horror and anything to do with Halloween so this film was a blast. It's similar to in format to Tales...

Alot of hardcore horror fans were waiting for this direct to dvd movie that should have gotten a limited release in the theaters. I'm a sucker for horror and anything to do with Halloween so this film was a blast. It's similar to in format to Tales from the Crypt and might not be for everyone. One particular story (four in all) about a principal would not go over well with the general public due to the horrfiying topic which made my mouth drop. Let me state that this is not an amazing film but better than most horror films out there and it's tayor made for Halloween lovers out there. Rent this and see for yourself...but brace yourself.
