The murder plot is a cheap turn that says nothing about the nature of Suzanne's ambition. Without Suzanne's media-obsession as its focus, To Die For becomes just another fairly good black comedy.

never having seen 'To Die For' by first viewing it was clear that this is Kidman's finest performance, she reeks relentless confidence, vanity, and venom. that being said it is also Gus Van Sant's most humorous piece of work.

Was good when I saw it in 1995... I was more of a big fan of Gus van Sant than I was of anybody in the cast and it was a good follow up to his earlier works
