Profile of Three Times

The mood of Three Times is bittersweet, gloomy, and atmospheric. The plot centers around tragic love, wartime life, and social differences. It is a drama, foreign, and romance movie. Summary of Three Times

Three romantic tales take place in different eras. In ``A Time for Love,'' set in 1966, a soldier (Chang Chen) meets an alluring pool-hall hostess (Shu Qi). ``A Time for Freedom,'' set in 1911, focuses on a courtesan's[C1]relationship with a man during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. Slow. So slow, on 2x Fast Forward, it was still slow. OK, the second act was artfully done by making it a silent movie. Good idea. Poor execution. I would only recommend this film to someone with insomnia. Read and rate it
