The Wicker Man, 2006

I'm having a lot of trouble understanding what everyone's problem with this film is. IT IS A GOOD MOVIE! And listen to this: I am a fan of the original! People are complaining about script problems. What script problems?! The fact that they aren't coddling you and that they are letting you figure stuff out for yourself is a problem? (It's a matriarchy, folks! That means women are in charge! It's a STATEMENT about our CULTURE, huzzah! You say, 'Why didn't the men talk?'...I ask, 'Why do the movies you watch have to spell things out for you?'. Take a wild guess why the men don't talk...just GUESS!) The ending--now, get ready for me to say this--the ending is better than the original's ending. Nick Cage's reaction upon seeing the Wicker Man is one of true horror--it is superb acting, and the editing of that scene could not be more perfect. Watch the alternate ending for some supremely creepy visuals. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
