Profile of The Warrior's Way
The mood of The Warrior's Way is stylized and exciting. The plot centers around samurai, a master warrior, and heroes. It is an action, period, and fantasy movie. Stylistically, The Warrior's Way is epic, is surreal, and features martial arts. In approach, it is serious. It takes place, at least partly, in the desert, in a small town, and at a circus. The Warrior's Way happens in the 19th century. It is especially suggested for a boys' night. Note that it includes strong violent content.
Summary of The Warrior's Way
Refusing to kill an infant from an enemy clan, master swordsman Yang (Jang Dong Gun) takes the child and flees to an American frontier town. He puts away his sword for good, vowing to raise the baby in peace. Yang befriends Lynne, a woman who wants revenge against a colonel, the man who murdered her family. When the colonel returns to wreak havoc on the town, Yang draws his sword to protect his new friends, but the sound of fighting draws Yang's murderous clansmen into the fray as well.
