Summary of The Time Traveler's Wife

This film was good but its missing somthing. you never get an explanation why this is happeneing.why is he a time traveler?if they only would have explained why he is time traveling why cant he stop and just stay with his wife.

I think he is very handsome :) but the film has no story whatsoever, interesting dialogues, etc. I don't find it romantic or inspiring...I wouldn't recommend it.
