I've only seen the end so far but was unexpectedly sucked in. The more I see of Guy Pierce, the more of a fan I become and Samantha Mumba is smokin' hot.

The movie turned out to be better than I thought it would. The effects were good... cgi always looks a bit weird to me, but they don't go to the extreme (like the new star wars garbage). I usually hate time travel movies, but found this one to be...

The movie turned out to be better than I thought it would. The effects were good... cgi always looks a bit weird to me, but they don't go to the extreme (like the new star wars garbage). I usually hate time travel movies, but found this one to be enjoyable overall. Good for a one time rent for a nice story with good acting.

I really liked this movie, but it has a few holes. I won't mention them, but after I finished the movie, I watched some of the scenes that were difficult to understand with the commentary on. Even the directors made notes about how some parts were a bit confusing. Had more care been taken with these holes, I might have given this movie five stars.

I guess I was spoiled by the original. This updated version has wonderful special effects, as you may expect in the 21st century but in terms of the screen play it is not a patch on the original. It was watchable enough and I'm not saying don't rent...
