The Tenant, 1976

I like Polanski, but you have to call a spade a spade. This is a bad movie from a good director. It is a random hodgepodge of annoying events that drives the main character and the viewer mad. This film is trying for suspense but crappy neighbors are not suspenseful they just make you want to move away; I wanted to move away from this movie. This film takes a very long time to build in to a climax that will leave you rolling your eyes and laughing at how bad this ending truly is. People defend this movie as subtle, but subtle implies that there is something methodical and nuanced about this film. There is nothing nuanced about this film and the only thing methodical is how the film goes from bad to worse.
