Very Boring
This was a very boring movie, long periods of nothing happening. Story was not told very well at all, didn't feel for the characters one bit.
Must see!
An amazing movie, which dares to show our true side when we must survive, when we are scared. A film so real that few will understand, and those who will...well...take a day to recover. Brilliantly directed and acted. For an educated audience...
A sad, depressive movie, just for the sake of being sad and depressive.
Depressive, very depressive. But in a REALLY bad way. It's just there to make you feel bad... Half way through I felt like commiting another columbine and then commiting suicide. It really makes you hate humans. The father is annoying and just too...
A movie I would really want to forget
It's depressing, but in a bad way. You can't really feel any emotions towards the characters. There were many scenes in this movie that just felt pointless and just there to traumatize you. Read the review by Will below me. He took the words out of...
THE ROAD: I have always loved watching movies starring Charlize Theron, This is one of my favorite movies and I highly recommend it. CHARLIZE always give 110%, and her acting is always very convincing and spot on. I give this movie 5*****STARS.
An honour to the author of the book.
Staying true to the book but not so it is a complete copy by adding in extra elements which is good. I wouldn't recommend this to those who want to feel depressed because the film is dark and melancholic and you may need a comedy box set at the...
Not a bad adaptation, but it doesn't really capture the "feel" of the book. It felt like someone used a cliff notes version of the book to hit on every plot point, and then move on. Compared with the movie version of No Country, The Road falls very...
The first thing that struck me about this film was it's total and utter melancholy presentation. Cannibalism, suicide, starvation and lost hope, hooray! Then it never stopped. The little boy irked me with his constant whimpering and the father...
A realistic apocalypse film...
I don't know what it is about post-apocalyptic films that makes me love them so much. Although it was slow in pace, it was very much captivating. It's something about the human nature that this film is giving the makes it so appealing. Seeing how a...
A pale shadow of the book it's based on, "THE ROAD" is a disappointing movie. Granted, the book must be almost impossible to film -- it's short on dialog and action, and long on precise, emotive prose. And granted, the actors in the film do a...
