The Night Buffalo, 2007

What a jumbled horrible mess. Can dialogue be both pretentious and generic - because this movie certainly had that. The characters make choices completely devoid of any reason and it never makes anyone's motiviation even remotely clear. Diego Luna is unbearably unsympathetic so you don't really care as he descends into madness - this again for no apparent reason. Not sure if it was supposed to be a romantic triangle story or some sort of thriller, but it failed on both fronts. Someone needs to tell Aldana and Arriaga you can't call a movie an "art film" just because the actors get naked in every other scene. Pura basura!
