I was sadly disappointed with this movie. From the beginning, it did little to draw me in. Upon learning Maria Bello was now Evie, I was even more upset. While I admire her as an actress, Rachel Weisz was just so good in the role that it's not the same without her.
While the story line has enough meat that it ought to be full and good, it just falls flat. The only part to really grab my attention was the final battle at the end. And even it just doesn't compare to its predecessors.

Dang, I'm really disappointed that this was so bad, I loved the first two - and even found Scorpion King watchable. This movie lacked emotion in every possible way it's not even funny. First, Bello - who is decent in other films, is completely miscast here. She didn't get her character at all it seemed, and I wasn't buying her in it for a moment. Secondly, Luke Ford was just plain bad - so bad that I cringed when he said anything or had to act. Li is wasted in that he's cgi for most of the film and only yells a few times and jumps around the rest, never really contributing anything. Beyond that, the film is all noise and explosions but no substance in any way that would draw you into the characters or their plights. Then, it all culminates in the most predictable way and ends even more obviously that you feel like you're being treated as a moron by the filmmakers. Sadly, even brother Jonathon feels bored in this and that's too bad because this movie should have succeeded.
