This first sequel falls far short of The Matrix and is a big disappointment. Zion's a bad rehash of Planet of the Apes + Star Wars + a very boring rave, with an atrocious sex scene tossed in. A great car chase, but the rest of the action actually got boring; nothing new or improved from the first. Story's fleshed out, with some interesting bits, but also lots of preachy nonsense. Subplot that sows the seeds for the 3rd part is so small that you can miss it; it creates zero interest or tension. Also, while this kinda flick isn't about depth, it's too bad to still know absolutely nothing about Trinity.

I do not to explain why this is by far one of the best movies ever made in the 21st Century, what I would like to say is how anyone who gives this movie 2 stars or less is a MORON!!!

Reloaded is definately not what the original was. You're not as scared of the horrible future and Neo has gone from wimp to superman. There is lots more dialouge, and it's not as quotable as the first.
But I loved the action and the mystery at the end of what the matrix is, who is really pulling the strings and who neo could really be.

After such high expectations from the classic first one, the second movie in The Matrix trilogy doesn't even compare. The action is still quite good (even though it tries too hard) and the shooting and effects are just as good as ever, but the story is so weak and pompous, it leaves you with a bad taste afterwards.
But - at leasr it's not as bad as the third one.

The Matix is a great trilogy
Not as good as the first one (as expected), but still great, stylish action scenes. According to the directors, this is the part that's supposed to represent real life - and it does so well.

I watched this movie 3 times: the first time I came with lots of expectations as The Matrix was one of the best sci-fi action films ever. I was very disapointed. The second time I told myself "well, maybe it wasn't so bad" and rented it on DVD - I was disapointed. the third time I didn't have any expectations, and still the movie sucked. it's just... bad. The script is terrible, the action scenes feel repetitive and the acting fits the overall feeling - LAME. It's the kind of movie you feel they did for money and nothing more. too bad.
