This movie is just bad. Punishing your kids for becoming geniuses, learning telekinesis and saving the world of the future! I don't have kids, but if i did and they did these things, i woudln't throw away their toys. Don't watch this movie!

This is by far one of the best new family movies to come out in a long time. I actually watched the movie twice. Once to enjoy it, the second time to enjoy the interactive feature that allows you to see how a scene was done, or any deleted scenes, etc while watching the movie. I found the movie both believable and enjoyable on many levels. Get it. Order a pizza, pop some corn and cozy into your bean bag chairs, This one is a warm fuzzy.

THE DONNIE DARKO OF KIDS MOVIE. This film was bizzare yet wonderfully done. Not your typical kids movie, this film is as much for adults as it is for kids. Parts family film mixed in with science fiction this film was overlooked while in the cineplexes and you could see why. Filmgoers usually want a popcorn flic that has a middle and and a neat ending. This film offers that but goes off the beaten path while not alienating the audience. You might enjoy it like I did or you might not but I thought it was beautifully done and more advanced than most "childrens" movies.

I wish that the young stars of this film had been more well-rounded or simply had more training, because this movie could have been more than your standard and safe family film (I can see you pressing that Not Helpful button as fast as you can......

I wish that the young stars of this film had been more well-rounded or simply had more training, because this movie could have been more than your standard and safe family film (I can see you pressing that Not Helpful button as fast as you can... just give my review a chance). Safeness is the movie's only flaw, because if they had went a little further with their original idea, the movie could easily have been perfect.
It is still very good, the sound and computer animations are phenomenal. The animation here doesn't feel as forced and out of place as in other recent films, which is why it works so well.
Rainn Wilson is a great member of the cast, and the original reason for me renting the movie, but I wish he had played a bigger part. He could have brought some much-needed life into this movie.
Still, it's worth a rental.
