Pixar has done it again, just one year after Finding Nemo, they went back to the time of classic Superheroes. It even beat out two Dreamworks Animation films to win the 2004 Oscar, kudos to Pixar!

I really really really wanted to see this movie because I had heard that it was supposed to be awesome. I was not disappointed. In my opinion, this is Pixar's masterpiece. Everything about this moving is amazing. The backgrounds are so amazing and lifelike that if it wasn't for the cartoon people, you'd think this was a real-life movie. Parents and kids both will laugh constantly throughout this movie as Pixar does an excellent job with the jokes on all levels.
That being said, all of Pixar's movies up to this point have been rated G.... but the Incredibles is rated PG for good reason. While those without children will not even notice the constant cartoon violence and more mature subjects (death, torture) in this film, parents of young children will want to make sure their children can handle it. A perfect example of how the "no one dies" cartoon buffer is stripped away is this line by the mom. "Remember those guys you watch on Saturday morning cartoons?" Elastigirl asks Dash and Violet. "These guys are not like those guys. They won't exercise restraint because you're children. They will kill you if they get the chance."
The Incredibles is one of the best movies I have seen this year. Older children will love the amazing realism and great story of superheroes living among us. Adults will enjoy the jabs at Suburbia and a "normal" life. This is a movie that the whole family can enjoy, though parents with small children would be wise to exercise caution

when the heroes are our family
When I saw this movie all I could think about was my family. Of course there are no superhuman powers or secret identities in my family, but the relationships between the characters were so familiar... Aside from the family relations, there is an action-packed story about a heroic mission of good versus evil. A great fantasy movie for the whole family.

How come no one thought of it before?
3D design and superheroes are two of my favorites, and when you put them together, it only makes me wonder: How come no one ever thought of it before? The answer makes it simple to explain: The Incredibles came out exactly in time – after introducing the wonders of 3D CGI in films like "Toy Story" and right at the beginning of the climax of superhero films, which continues up until today. The movie takes itself so lightly, you can't help laughing. What's amazing about the movie is that any average Joe could enjoy it, but people like me, superhero geeks and comic book fans, could enjoy it on a whole other level. Right on!
