THE INCREDIBLE HULK: I have always loved watching movies starring LIV TYLER, This is one of my favorite movies and I highly recommend it. The problem for me was (1) The story was linear and lacked any depth and (2) I still can't buy into the cgi Hulk and believe it's something living on screen. Why? The story just lacked any depth, it's was pretty much predictable from start to finish. You only get a taste of Banner's despair (wish the cut scene from the beginning would have been put back) and much of the movie turns into only him running. Secondly, the Hulk himself is just too cgi as was the beast he fought. I'd rather have a smaller Hulk that's believable than some massive cgi effect. The comics had him saying stuff, fun stuff... he only had one line of "Hulk Smash" that was there. William Hurt was simply a one-dimensional rehash of the Sam Elliot from the first. If they do another, I hope they refine the story more and add some Banner anguish - even the tv version had some of that.

I'm beginning to think it's not possible to make a GOOD movie about the Hulk. The auteur Ang Lee couldn't do it, nor could the hack action director of this movie, Louis Leterrier. Maybe the big, green dude is just not that interesting of a character, or maybe they need someone along the lines of Jon Favreau, who did such a good job transferring Iron Man to the big screen, behind the camera. In other words, they need someone who's capable of making an intelligent film, but who also realizes that comic-book movies should be fun. Sadly, neither Mr. Lee, nor Mr. Leterrier fit this criteria. Where 2003's Hulk suffered from having too complex of a story, The Incredible Hulk suffers from having no story at all. There's simply no point to it. At the end of the film, everybody is right back to where they were at the start of it. To make matters worse, the action scenes, while frequent, aren't all that entertaining. The only reason to give this movie a passing grade is for its appealing cast, which makes the most of a weak script and some very under-developed characters. Liv Tyler may have been a step down from the eye-poppingly gorgeous Jennifer Connelly, but there's no doubt that Edward Norton makes an ideal Bruce Banner. It's just a shame that whenever Norton's character is replaced on screen by his alter ego the movie loses my interest. Save yourself some time and money and just rewatch the trailer online. It's just as good.

This movie was good if it is only for the sheer fact that in an early scene of Edward Norton jogging up a hill the haunting theme of "The Lonely Man" plays for 2 or 3 bars. I just about cried.

I would have rated it higher but I feel that this may only appeal to comic fans. If you watch and like this make sure to watch Iron Man. There will be another movie coming to tie the two together. I for one cant wait.

Normally I don't really like movies with enormous creature/monsters. But in this movie Edward Northon is as always a fantastic actor. The plot is about a young man who by accident became a very strong monster when his heartbeats rise. He wants to get ride of that power and the army want to have that power so he became also a fugitive. He fights the monster inside him, the army who attacks him and in the end even a soldier monster. It's an exciting movie and touching too. The hulk is build beautifully and not looks like a bad monster (if that possible…)
