The First Wives Club, 1996

This film really touched a collective raw nerve in our culture when it came out in the 'nineties. The "trophy wife" was a major phenomenon and something of a justification for the feminist movement. Here, the women are revenged. This is a funny movie, but is overlong and the plot is somewhat cumbersome. But the film is generally well done and will be a worthwhile evening's entertainment.
