A big, awkward, crazily ambitious, sometimes breathtaking motion picture that comes as close to being a popular epic as any movie about this country since "The Godfather."

Very enjoyable. I loved everyone's performances in this movie. The Russian roulette scenes were disturbing. However, they brought suspense and emotion to the movie. I loved Christopher Walken and Meryl Streep in this movie.

I do believe it is a must-see
this is really well-made, one of the best anti-war films you can find. When I first watched it I couldn't get it out of my head for days. War is an ugly thing indeed, and those who survived it will never be the same again. Strongly recommended.
