Summary of The Confessor
Father Daniel Clemens (Christian Slater, TRUE ROMANCE) is a dedicated priest who has never found his place at the helm of a parish, choosing instead to work in the cardinal's office. When a fellow priest is accused of murder and later commits suicide--or not--in jail, Clemens becomes increasingly convinced the man was innocent, and assumes the dead man's duties at his parish. With the aid of a journalist and former sweetheart (Molly Parker), he works to solve the mystery, and embarks upon his own spiritual rediscovery, while the possibility of more bloodshed grows. Academy Award nominee Stephen Rea (THE CRYING GAME) co-stars.
