Summary of The Color of Freedom
James Gregory's powerful memoir is brought to the screen in this adaptation. Gregory (played here by Joseph Fiennes) was Nelson Mandela's prison guard for over 20 years, and his deep-seated racism was severely challenged and ultimately changed as a result of the experience. Mandela is played by acclaimed actor Dennis Haysbert (24). Bille August, whose films have twice won the Palm d'Or at Cannes, directs this drama that also stars NATIONAL TREASURE's Diane Kruger.
