Summary of The Champagne Safari
A profile of quixotic European industrialist (and likely Nazi collaborator) Charles E. Bedaux, whose ambition and imagination won him a fortune but also led him on outrageous expeditions, such as his 1934 trek through the then-unmapped Canadian Rockies with a giant entourage including Hollywood cinematographer Floyd Crosby. Footage of the voyage is interspersed with interviews and other documentation. Winner of a Genie award for Best Feature Documentary.
