I thought this was better than any James Bond movie I've ever seen, and since James Bond is the gold standard for this type of movie, that bodes pretty well for Matt Damon's best movie so far.

Having put off seeing this for so long, I am glad that I finally did view it. My reasoning behind the wait was that I'd never thought of Matt Damon as an action hero. The Bourne Identity mostly changed that mindset for me. The action in The Bourne...

Having put off seeing this for so long, I am glad that I finally did view it. My reasoning behind the wait was that I'd never thought of Matt Damon as an action hero. The Bourne Identity mostly changed that mindset for me. The action in The Bourne Identity is very sporadic, but when things get going, it is very intense. It has a good plot that they take the whole movie to unravel, so you never know what is happening (For better or worse). I am now excited to watch the rest of the series, and definitely think this is a worthy modern thriller. Enjoyed it!

An entertaining movie, wih great chase scenes and a nice mystery waiting to be solved. Don't expect great intellectual intricacies, but do expect seeing Damon running around Europe. This movie goes with the tradition of "European Intrigue", like "Ronin" and "The Italian Job". Suspend disbelief and get into "Europe mode" before watching it and enjoy.
