How Does One Rate This Film?
This was a really hard film for me to rate. It wasn't OK, but you sort of expect that when the subtitle of the film is "All Saints Day". Before I even watched it, I envisioned the same sort of hack acting that was portrayed comically by Affleck and Damon when filming the fictional "Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season" (see Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back). One might argue for So-So, but the film didn't balance out 50/50 for good and bad points. I can't lie. It did have the occasional moment of humor, but they didn't outweigh the bad acting, scripting, and editing of this film. I'm give it a Disappointing rating, because, even as little as I expected from this film, I was still disappointed by the results. There are worse movies, but this is a time when a film never had a chance to live up to the magic of the first go-round. Re-watch the original. Your time will be better spent.

This was the biggest movie disappointment of my life. I LOVED the first one, and this movie was so bad I left the theater halfway through. I had to wake up my girlfriend to leave. Ive only ever left one other movie early in my life. I went home and checked on IMDB to make sure it was made by the same people.
It was cheap, schlocky, and bad, bad, bad. Awful, really.
Also, I didnt like it.

Tried too Hard?
If you've seen The Boondock Saints, then you know exactly what to expect from Saint II. The hilarious Irish duo are once again at their vigilanty business after years of quite life on an Irish sheep farm with their dad. Thing is, in my opinion, the movie producers tried too hard to make the sequel almost identical to the first. The humor is the same: brotherly spats, crazy sidekick, and tons of "adult language", only this time parts seem a bit forced whereas the first was new, original, and flawless in its humor.
I really liked the movie (not one who liked the first could not), but few things really got to me about this one. There was one sequence in which *Spoiler Alert* the boys were on their first "job" back and, once again confined to a small space and they fight amongst themselves (much like their first intentional killing in the first movie with the air vents). Although funny, the forced quality of trying to mirror the original took something away from the scene.
Also, there are MANY unnecessary scenes of *Spoiler Alert again* the new FBI agent (an attractive woman related to the original movie's gay agent). The most annoying was an approximately 30 second long sequence of her twirling around a gun. All on the scenes with her just made me keep thinking, "Can we please get back to the saints now?!? You're taking up too much of the movie!"
All in all, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day was a great movie, but lacked the originality and fast pace of the first. It still has tons of guns, shootouts, humor, and still evokes a sence of loyalty and willingness to take things into your own two hands, but a few scenes are copys of those in the original movie (and I'm not talking about the flashbacks).
